FRB in action

The Foundation's main missions are to support research on biodiversity and to help stakeholders to act with it.

Our international involvement

The Foundation for Research on Biodiversity (FRB) collaborates with many international bodies such as Ipbes, the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), etc. The FRB is thus associated with the major international discussions and negotiations on the future of the environment

IPBES

The FRB hosts the scientific secretariat of the French IPBES Committee.

CBD

In France, the focal point of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is provided by the MNHN and the FRB.

RESPIN

Through this European project, FRB participates in empowering different knowledge systems on climate and biodiversity in IPBES and IPCC processes.

IENE

The IENE Executive Secretariat is hosted by the FRB.

BiodivERsA

The FRB is responsible for the coordination and secretariat of BiodivERsA.

EKLIPSE

The FRB is part of Eklipse, the European science-policy network on the knowledge and learning mechanism on biodiversity and ecosystem services.
