Violette Silve joined the FRB in July 2024 as a “Scientific Animation and Communication” officer. Her responsibilities are shared between two departments.

• Within the Science and Research Communities department, Violette supports the activities of the Foundation’s Scientific Council.
• Within the Communication and Scientific Valorization department, she serves as a Communication Officer dedicated to the activities of the CESAB (the Centre for the Synthesis and Analysis of Biodiversity), the FRB’s flagship programme. In this role, she is responsible for promoting CESAB’s activities and for making the results of the projects hosted there accessible to a wider audience.

Throughout her academic scientific journey, culminating in a PhD in marine ecology, Violette developed a passion for scientific outreach by actively participating in organizing various associations and events.
