Rémi Duflot is a landscape ecologist and agronomist. His research focuses on the relationships between landscape patterns (heterogeneity and connectivity) and biodiversity in human-modified landscapes, with the aim of producing recommendations to mitigate the effects of global change and human activities on biodiversity.

His work spans a wide range of topics, including agroecology, sustainable forest management, green infrastructure planning, and urban ecology. Over time, his interests have expanded to ecosystem services and social-ecological systems.
