Nathalie NIQUIL
CNRSM2C – Caen.
Nathalie Niquil is a modeller of marine trophic and socio-ecological networks. Her research bridges ecology and decision support for a variety of stakeholders. She has notably focused on the good ecological status of marine ecosystems within the framework of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD), as well as on the development of an ecosystem-based approach to marine renewable energy, in collaboration with various industrial partners.
Her current work focuses on understanding the cumulative effects of multiple pressures, whether linked to different impacts from a single activity (offshore wind energy) or from multiple activities (sand and gravel extraction, fisheries), and especially their interactions with climate change. In particular, she aims to strengthen the links between the development of marine ecological models and decision-making processes, as well as the adaptation of coastal stakeholders.
