François Massol is a Research Director at CNRS. His main research focus is the evolutionary ecology of interacting species in spatially structured environments (metacommunities and meta-ecosystems), ranging from plant–pollinator interactions to host–parasite systems evolving across networks. More broadly, his work is highly interdisciplinary, with a particular emphasis on the mathematical and statistical modelling of networks. He founded Peer Community in Ecology. Through his involvement in the French Society for Ecology and Evolution and the French Council of Academic Learned Societies, he actively promotes open science and interdisciplinarity.
