Charlotte GLINEL
INRAELisis – Noisy-Le-Grand.
Charlotte Glinel is a research fellow in sociology at INRAE.
Her work focuses on forest and agricultural ecosystems, examined through the tensions between global warming, conservation, and industrial exploitation. After studying the controversial incorporation of forests into climate policies and productivist management approaches, she now focuses on large-scale crop farming and arboriculture.
Her research analyses the forms of scientific, activist, and professional expertise that shape these environmental transformations. To do so, she draws on the tools of the sociology of work, public policy analysis, social movements studies, and Science and Technology Studies (STS).
Charlotte Glinel thus adopts a resolutely materialist approach, also attentive to the agency of living matter.
