Camille Guibal joined the FRB in August 2025 as CBD Scientific Officer within the European and International Coordination team. She acts as France’s national co-focal point to the scientific and technical body of the Convention (SBSTTA), together with the MNHN. Her work focuses on bringing the research community together to support France’s and the EU’s positions, in close collaboration with the Ministries of Ecology and Foreign Affairs. She also leads a work package in the COOP4CBD project, which helps mobilize European expertise for EU negotiators at the CBD. In addition, she contributes to strengthening ties between Biodiversa+ and the CBD.

 

With a background in international law and political science, Camille was previously in the French delegation to the CBD for the Ministry for an Ecological Transition (including as national CBD co-focal point) and worked as a programme officer in the IPBES Technical Support Unit for the transformative change assessment.
