Karine MONCEAU
University of La RochelleCEBC – Chizé.
Trained in evolutionary ecology, Karine Monceau conducts research structured around two main themes. On the one hand, she investigates behavioural interactions in predator–prey systems (the western honey bee and the yellow-legged Asian hornet) and host–parasite systems (the western honey bee and the Varroa mite) within the context of biological invasions. On the other hand, she studies the impacts of human activities on wildlife, particularly bird species associated with large-scale agricultural landscapes. More specifically, her research focuses on understanding the sublethal effects of pesticides on avian health and their contribution to the decline of bird populations within the conceptual framework of One Health.
