Bastien Castagneyrol seeks to understand how the different components of biodiversity (genetic, species, phylogenetic, functional) shape ecosystem functions and their contributions to human societies, and how, in turn, direct and indirect anthropogenic pressures structure biodiversity.

 

Bastien Castagneyrol grounds his research in society through a participatory and citizen science approach, with the aim of contributing to the transformation of our collective relationship with biodiversity.
