Diana Mangalagiu <\/strong>is an interdisciplinary scientist working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, sustainability and risk governance. She holds a PhD in artificial intelligence from \u00c9cole Polytechnique and advanced degrees in engineering, microelectronics, management and political sciences, and has spent more than two decades bridging natural and social sciences to support ecological and societal transitions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Her work focuses on environmental policy, just transitions, foresight and strategic planning, with a particular emphasis on the interlinkages between biodiversity, climate, energy, food systems and health. As Coordinating Lead Author of the IPBES Nexus Assessment, she has helped shape the assessment of interconnections among biodiversity, water, food, health and climate. She co-chaired the pan-European assessment of UNEP\u2019s sixth Global Environment Outlook (GEO\u20116) and leads research on positive tipping points and accelerating transitions in carbon\u2011intensive regions.<\/p>\n

At the science\u2013policy\u2013society interface, Diana Mangalagiu works with governments, companies, NGOs and international organisations to co-design ambitious biodiversity strategies and policies aligned with international frameworks. As co\u2011founder of an initiative for dialogue between science, society, arts and policy, she is committed to building bridges across disciplines and sectors to catalyse just and sustainable transformations at multiple scales.<\/p>\n
