{"id":24739,"date":"2024-03-20T14:01:17","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T13:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondationbiodiversite.fr\/?post_type=membre&#038;p=24739"},"modified":"2024-09-19T18:36:02","modified_gmt":"2024-09-19T16:36:02","slug":"pavanee-annasawmy","status":"publish","type":"membre","link":"https:\/\/www.fondationbiodiversite.fr\/en\/membre\/pavanee-annasawmy\/","title":{"rendered":"Pavanee ANNASAWMY"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Pavanee Angelee Annasawmy<\/strong> joined the FRB at CESAB in January 2024, as a Data-scientist within the <a id=\"OWA4c412426-4f33-c890-52b4-1cbd8ab5a895\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationbiodiversite.fr\/en\/the-frb-in-action\/programs-and-projects\/le-cesab\/blue-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-loopstyle=\"linkonly\" data-linkindex=\"0\">BLUE JUSTICE<\/a>\u00a0CESAB group, where she will build on her previous experience in analysis of multidisciplinary oceanographic cruise datasets and statistical modelling.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Pavanee\u2019s research focuses on using multidisciplinary tools to study deep sea communities. She graduated with a co-badged PhD from the University of Montpellier (France) and the University of Cape town (South Africa). During her PhD, she shed\u00a0new light on the influence of\u00a0seamounts in the Indian ocean on the distribution, composition and trophic relationships of deep sea communities. She then carried out a first postdoc at the Seychelles Fishing Authority and G\u00e9osciences Environnement Toulouse, and another at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA), before receiving the prestigious Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie fellowship\u00a0from the Horizon Europe programme.
