{"id":35935,"date":"2026-03-05T11:01:03","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T10:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondationbiodiversite.fr\/?post_type=appel&#038;p=35935"},"modified":"2026-04-15T10:02:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:02:00","slug":"appel-a-projets-generiques-frb-cesab-2026","status":"publish","type":"appel","link":"https:\/\/www.fondationbiodiversite.fr\/en\/calls\/appel-a-projets-generiques-frb-cesab-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"[Call for proposals FRB-CESAB 2026]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Through its Center for Biodiversity Synthesis and Analysis (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondationbiodiversite.fr\/en\/about-the-foundation\/le-cesab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CESAB<\/a><\/strong>), <strong>the French Foundation for Biodiversity Research opens its 2026 call for research proposals, to fund two innovative projects relating to the synthesis of ideas and concepts and\/or the analysis of existing data.<\/strong> The main aim of these projects should be to improve scientific knowledge of biodiversity and demonstrate how we can use this knowledge to better protect it. <strong>The submitted projects can deal with any topic related to biodiversity, in the fields of natural sciences and\/or human and social sciences. Work on the relationship between biodiversity and the four other areas of the Nexus as defined by IPBES (human health, water, food, and climate) is encouraged.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Each selected project will be funded for a period of three years, including: the recruitment of a post-doctoral fellow for 24 months, the organization of five meetings of the working group at CESAB and the promotion and publication of the results. CESAB will also provide logistical, technical and administrative support all along the project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Members of CESAB projects share their scientific expertise, available data and modeling tools to answer a wide range of biodiversity questions at all spatial and temporal scales.
