The essential values of the FRB are:

  • the construction of research projects that contribute to the protection, the durable use and enhancement of biodiversity;
  • respecting the scientific approach within the framework of the projects carried out;
  • the co-construction of projects uniting scientific organizations and stakeholders from all horizons and the joint enhancement of these collective works;
  • sharing knowledge;
  • and dialogues between the different stakeholders, 

in order to best serve the general interest, which is the Foundation’s mission.

The FRB’s policies are decided upon by the Board of Directors. The FRB alone is responsible for the quality and the guidance of the projects that it initiates. The FRB commits to total transparency on all aspects of the use of funding. Sponsoring operations of the FRB are defined and regulated by conventions signed by both parties.
